A retailer’s supply chain extends far beyond the merchandise purchased for retail sales, to include everything required to support those sales, from pens and paper to shopping bags and corrugated boxes.  As a retailer’s supply chain expands to accommodate those goods, it becomes more complicated, costly and inefficient.  MCG’s procurement practice has been designed to help management achieve tighter control over its procurement activities.  Starting with an in-depth analysis of a client’s historical spending, MCG will develop a procurement strategy that will strengthen supplier relationships, maximize service levels and improve profitability.  This process may include supplier consolidation, contract negotiation, or implementing internal procurement procedures.
